Just in time for Christmas shopping, Amazon.com released an iPhone native app.
I have enjoyed the Amazon.com iPhone web site for a while now. I have even ordered from that site. One issue I have with web based apps in Mobile Safari is that I have to re-enter passwords periodically. Native apps usually have the option to store your passwords. Realize that if you do save your password and you lose your phone, you will need to immediately change that password.
One of the most interesting features in the new app is the capability to take a photo of an item and store that photo on amazon.com. You can also use the photo to search amazon.com for similar products.

You should check out Delivery Status Touch. Fantastic tracking app that has a great feature for Amazon users. Enter in your amazon information into the app. Simply enter in your amazon order # and it will give you status updates on your orders, even orders that have yet to ship such as pre-orders. Keep you updated with the tracking information when it does ship.
Here is a screenshot of it from my iPhone.
Funny.. I am using that app too. Great app!
