I feel like one of the lucky US iTunes users who was able to quickly purchase the application NetShare while it was available in iTunes for a few hours two weeks ago. NetShare allows you to surf the web on a wireless computer/laptop using your iPhone's Internet connection. It is speculat
ed that Apple pulled the application due to at&t terms disallowing phone "tethering." I like having the capability to tether when at a location where I need to use my laptop and I do not have wi-fi. I am very, very conservative with how much data I use while tethering as to not set off bandwidth flags with the at&t mothership.
http://twitter.com/neofactor told me that he had requested a refund for the application and has received it. I see that others are requesting refunds here: http://www.appleiphoneschool.com/2008/08/12/netshare-refund/.
I am opposed to requesting for a refund at this point because the app still works fine at this point, I paid a fair price ($9.99) and why should the developers of this great little utility not receive payment for their hard work. I don't want to penalize the developers because Apple messed up and released an app that is against their partner's terms of service not once, but twice.
If NetShare stops working for me because Apple pulls the remote kill switch or for any other reason, I may consider a refund. Until that time, I want NullRiver to have my money.

I missed out when this application was available. Seems like a fantastic app. No doubt ATT was a big reason for having it removed.
