My name is Mark Shropshire. Welcome to my Funkadelic Playground blog. This site is a place to collect my thoughts and interests. A blog is not a blog without your input so please feel free to comment. I live in Concord, North Carolina USA.

I am a follower of Jesus first. I am a person who has sin and makes an effort to be more Christ like everyday through Bible study, prayer and serving. I have a long way to go in my spiritual journey, but strive to do my best. I serve and attend Rocky River Community Church in Concord, NC.

I am a proud Father of a wonderful daughter and a husband for the past 14 years to Lisa. They are my girls. I cherish them completely.

I am the IT Director for Student Union, Activities and Recreation IT at The University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I lead a great team who supports end users, Mac and Windows desktops and servers, 35+ Drupal web sites and web applications, and various departmental applications for departments in Belk Gym, Cone University Center, Barnhardt Student Activity Center, King Building and the new Student Union.

I also provide professional Drupal web design, development and training services. If have any Drupal needs, feel free to contact me.

Music is a major part of my life. I play sax, keys and drums. I play most every week at www.rockyriverchurch.com.
