Setup Local Apache/MySQL/PHP Dev Environment in OS X Leopard

I have used MAMP for a long time, but I recently decided to build a development environment on my MacBook Pro to mirror my test and production servers. MAMP uses Apache 2.0 and I really wanted to run Apache 2.2. I also needed custom PHP for use with Oracle databases. I just want

ed to share the documentation to setup my development environment. Feel free to comment and let me know if you have any improvements.

Mac OSX Subversion Client: Cornerstone

Cornerstone is a Mac OS X SVN client. I can tell you that this app is awesome!

The interface takes a number of UI cues from iTunes by using one window. The one window interface is much more efficient on a laptop. You do have the option in preferences to switch to a multi window mode.

I am not a Basecamp user (yet), but this iphone app may make Basecamp more inviting to me. Something to check out at least.

The Mac Attack Podcast Ends After 90 Episodes

After 90 shows, Steve Stanger is stopping production on The Mac Attack podcast. His web site will remain online for the foreseeable future due to the donations of some of his listeners. Steve is going to pursue other projects, including podcasts. He has not ruled out starting The Mac Attack back up at some point.

WWDC Keynote Thoughts

I was jazzed about the WWDC Keynote before it started yesterday. I was all setup with twitter, ichat, plurk, macrumors, engadget, ustream audio, etc. The live ustream audio feed was very helpful. Thanks to my friends for pointing me to that link. I will catch the full video tonight on my AppleTV so I can get the full experience.

I am a big fan of subverison. I current use a combination of TextMate, ZigVersion and command line SVN to work with Subversion for my University development at UNC Charlotte.
