It has been a dream of mine to have the option of developing on an iPad when my laptop is unavailable or when I just don't want to lug a full laptop around. Recently I have started developing apps in Meteor.js and I came across a web service and some techniques which allow me to develop Meteor apps on my iPad.
Shortly after the iPad was released in April 2010, a product named Clamcase hit the blog and Twitter scene with an impressive video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H4IbgCLzazw). That video made me instantly want a Clamcase.
I think the iPad is a luxury. May be a luxary that I desire, but I am more interested in upgrading our iPhones this year before purchasing one. Since I can only afford so much at one time, I may be able to hold out for v2.
If I were to purchase an iPad, I would probably go with wifi only. I have an iPhone and most places I would use this i would have wifi.
Possible use cases for me:
With keyboard, good note taking device for meetings, conferences, etc. Think netbook type device. I do all of my notes electronic and with Evernote so I think it fits well for this use.
